With the co-operation of Cinema des Antipodes, ABIE will be screening the multi-international award winning Australian film "Matching Jack" on June 15th. Mr Rochereau was joined by his colleague, Amaury de Poncins, EADS Strategy & Marketing Organisation and amoung the guests were Mr John Sharp, a former Australian Minister for Transport and Regional Development and Dr. Nicholas Baker the Australian Trade Commissioner. read more...The Theatre of Leadership succeeds in the spotlight!23/03/2012 A fun and informative night was enjoyed by ABIE members and friends as they took part in the Theatre of Leadership workshop on voice and speech skills. Veronica and Charles of the Theatre of Leadership led the group with passion and energy through a series of exercises which got everyone literally on their feet.
"I had a lot of fun and learnt some very interesting body relaxation techniques! Also got to meet some very interesting people afterwards, so it was a very enjoyable night." Australian lawyer and ABIE member.

'Australia Day 2012' 30/01/2012 ABIE joined with ADVANCE to welcome members and friends, whatever their nationality, to celebrate Australia Day on 26th January. The convivial ambiance of Café Coutume made for a relaxed atmosphere and guests enjoyed Aussie style snacks with their Australian wine and Coopers beers. Entitled 'Australia and Europe: Manning the Barricades', Mr Blythe highlighted Australia's position as the global economy enters into ' a dangerous new phase' (IMF). The Australian economic story has been an easy one to sell in the past few years post Lehman's when the country dodged the global recession bullet.
Financial concerns in the North American economy are lifting again and the debate about Australia's economic resilience has resurfaced.

Eighteen films and 5 documentaries, chosen by Festival Director and ABIE board member Bernard Bories, ranged from the beautiful and the brave to the slightly bizarre. Jean-Pierre Tuveri, the Mayor of Saint Tropez said 'Since it began in 1999, a permanent feature has been the Festival's capacity to surprise and captivate us. As part of our NAIDOC celebrations, Australian historian Bill Gammage will present his acclaimed work, 'The Biggest Estate on Earth - How Aborigines made Australia' on Tuesday 19 June at 18h30.
Later that week, food historian Barbara Santich, will present 'Bold Palates - Australia's Gastronomic Heritage' on Friday 22 June at 12h30 (not on Thursday 21 June as formerly advised).

During his speech, Mr Wells praised ABIE's contribution towards facilitating Franco-Australian business exchanges, noting that many of the association's Corporate Club members are key players in maintaining France as one of Australia's largest trading partners. He expressed his pleasure in accepting the role of Honorary President of ABIE.
